The Leadership Advantage:Beginner Series (Parent/Child)

You read to young children to instill a love for reading and give them a head start in school. You teach your children to swim so they will enjoy and feel confident around water. You enroll in The Leadership Advantage to help your child develop one of the most valued traits in our society – leadership. Introduce leadership to your child when she/he is developing life-long behaviors. By the end of the course, children have skills that enable them to build positive attitudes, set and attain goals, and reinforce self-esteem.

Topics covered in this class include:

  • Successful people have an “attitude,” try out this attitude for yourself
  • Develop your charisma in 5 steps
  • Practice 5 secrets used by successful goal-getters
  • Learn to get rid of fear with the Sarnoff Squeeze
  • Find out what the T’NACI monster is and how you can slay it
  • Learn how to build your own self-esteem
  • Discover how you benefit others and yourself when you power praise someone

A unique aspect of this program is that parents attend class with their children. Parental involvement in leadership training significantly reinforces what your child learns in class.

Comments

Your leadership course gave my son and I a chance to share a quality growth experience. Our family has spent hours discussing the leadership skills. It has been an opportunity for us to form deeper bonds.

I’ve never seen anyone hold the attention of both kids and adults so well. Lloyd Leanse, parent

My daughter is a positive kid, but watching her over the past month, I've seen her power and confidence grow. She was really empowered by the P.E.G.S.S. part of the class. Robin Smith, parent

Every time I speak with a parent whose child was in the leadership class, they tell me about how their child has been talking about what they learned. They are quite amazed... The content was perfect. Dr. Robert Pruitt, Principal, Norwood Creek Elementary School

The children were hanging on your every word and gesture. Yannette Fichou Edwards, Parent Education Coordinator

Blake did not want to attend the leadership workshop, but after each class he began to shift his attitude and behavior. Blake was fearful of participating in sports and by the last week of the class he had begun karate lessons, a choice completely his own. I believe these four classes gave both my son and myself the specific tools to alter our futures. Dominique Renda Horsley, parent

We have sensed my son's newfound solution-oriented approach as he tackles life's day-to-day challenges. I am consciously reinforcing your structured messages, which benefits all of us. Marc Cohn, parent

I was recently in one of your leadership classes along with my daughter Kai. I may have had at least as much or more fun than any of the other attendees, no matter what age! Steve Rasmussen, parent
